Join a dynamic 12-month initiative as a Technical Solutions & Field Research Engineer, bridging advanced computing with human-centered systems to design, build, and optimize scalable cloud, web, and mobile platforms.
Overview
This full-time, salaried role is part of a structured 12-month engineering initiative focused on building robust technology platforms for events management and field sales/marketing operations. Engineers will work embedded within live operational environments, collecting empirical data to inform and continuously refine scalable cloud, web, and mobile solutions.
Responsibilities
Phase 1 — Field Diagnostics & Requirements Modeling (Months 1–3)
- Spend the majority of time embedded in field and event environments, directly observing operational bottlenecks, data gaps, and manual inefficiencies.
- Conduct on-site Human-Centered Design (HCD) research and behavioral mapping with end users and prospective clients.
- Translate real-world workflow barriers into structured functional and system logic requirements through empirical observation and user journey mapping.
- Support initial architecture planning in parallel with field research activities.
Phase 2 — Systems Development & Live Deployment (Months 4–12)
- Design, develop, and deploy cloud-native and mobile applications optimized for edge-network conditions, informed by Phase 1 findings.
- Launch alpha and beta prototypes into live field environments, monitoring interface performance, platform stability, and latency in real time.
- Apply Agile methodologies to continuously iterate on the technical infrastructure based on live operational feedback and data logs.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure solutions meet scalable commercial standards.
- Master's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Data Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or a closely related quantitative discipline.
- Solid programming skills in one or more languages such as Python, Java, C++, Go, or JavaScript/TypeScript.
- Hands-on experience with database management, including both SQL and NoSQL systems, as well as API design and architecture.
- Strong working knowledge of Agile development methodologies and Human-Computer Interaction (HCI) principles.
- Familiarity with system performance monitoring tools and techniques.
- Demonstrated ability to work adaptively in dynamic, field-based environments with shifting operational requirements.
- Strong analytical and collaborative communication skills.
